Great TV - too bad it came 'used' and missing parts
The TV is great - no arguments at all.

However, the service from Amazon sucked. First, the package had previously been opened and the unit assembled - I assume by a buyer. When I got it, they had put most of the packaging back like new, except things were wrinkled and not taped, and the package was missing - are you ready for this? - the screws that mount the TV to the base. Consequently, I couldn't use the TV.

I wrote Amazon about this - no reply in 2 days. So, I returned the unit.

I guess the economy is causing their customer service to lag - just a mite.

If you buy this - buy it somewhere else.

Great LCD TV
This Samsung LCD TV is wonderful. The picture is crystal clear and the sound is quite good. It is a great TV at a reasonable price!

Samsung LN32A450
The TV is as advertised. However, the software image processing does not appear to be the equal to that of the Phillips 37-inch 720p LCD that I have used for some time. On the Phillips you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between it and a 1080p. The Samsung makes me wish I had held out for a 1080P, but to be fair this may be due to the legacy 25' S-video cable I use to drive the video - must switch to HDMI.

I use the Samsung in bed and it's remote control is miserable for this purpose - slippery as wet soap and symmetrical end-to-end. Setting sleep timer involves three buttons + multiple button presses.

I was very pleased with the whole delivery experience. I was called and asked for a delivery date and time. I was having someone come to my house since I could not be available, and was given the 30 minute window time---love that, so I did not have to have someone sit at my house during the whole 4 hr window.

Great HDTV
With other HDTV's in the house, I was not expecting to be much more impressed with the clarity of HD, but with this TV it is outstanding. I fell in love with HD all over again. I would definitely recommend purchasing this television if you are looking for a great deal. Although more expensive than some HDTV's, the features and performance are well worth the extra cash.

Outstanding HDTV!
We did a ton of research into HDTV's before purchasing the Samsung 650 series. Samsung did extremely well in the Consumer Reports this year and now I can see why. This HDTV's picture is amazing and everything looks great on it. The only thing that may be lacking is sound quality, but we will probably upgrade to a surround sound system when funds become available to do so. Best Buy, Circuit City, and a couple of other online retailers could not even come close to competing on price for this HDTV. I am convinced that Amazon is the best place to buy just about anything.

Great LCD and looks good!
I've had this tv for a month and love it. Easy set up and the red touch of color is worth the money. It looks so good even when not turned on! No issues with firmware as of yet but still no HD satellite receiver, picture still looks awesome.

What a marvelous viewing experience!
Even at it's current price it is an amazing television. The Samsung 650A should be on anybody's short list. When the price comes down I may have to buy another one within a year or two.

Be sure to check the video settings of your set before you settle down to watch your favorite movie. I've found that the Dynamic setting without any of the "cool" color settings works best for my taste. Rich blacks and vivid colors along with brilliant whites... very nice. And you may need to turn on the fastest setting for the refresh rate of the images.

It's also a good idea to get a couple of soft fabric gloves ready when you are unpacking this gem of a TV. The surface of this thing will pick up the oils from your skin on contact and having a micro-fiber cloth or two around (with a touch of water) is all you'll need to keep it clean.

Was a little apprehensive about purchasing a large ticket electronic online. I was pleasently surprised! No problems with shipping. The shipping company made extra arrangements to accomodate my schedule. Received it in less time than what was estimated! TV works great. No problems getting it set up and functioning. The red touch of color is not overbarring, it is barly noticable. You really have to look at the tv in light to see the red. Very pleased with purchase.

Excellent TV.
Agree with other reviews. Excellent TV quality and picture. I will highly recommend.
The only thing that I'll improve is reduce response times from the remote, from the time it takes to turn On/Off and from the time to change input sources, but I guess that's the standard for HD TVs.

This is why samsung is number 1
I use my samsung to watch blu-ray and play x-box 360. It is unbelievable for HD. The frame rate makes it look more real because it is very quick. It's glass screen makes it so much more HD and is awesome for watching blu-ray movies on. No other TV compares to this one. Great for watching football on also. So much better than a Sony or any other TV.

Samsung No Help
I bought the 650 on recommendation from friends and forums. Don't do it. brand new 00 TV that switches inputs randomly and often and then won't respond to the remote. the local repair people now have this piece of junk. I have contacted Samsung and they have indicated that they will not replace the TV until service determines it is not repairable, so while they run up charges for Samsung to pay, they are on their third attempt to fix it, I am watching all the football games on my old Sony that has been beaten, kicked, rained on, heated and cooled to extreme and still works......but it ain't high def. Second recommendation is don't ever get high def because going back to old def is incredibly painful.

I purchased a 46" in the summer and bought another bigger size (52") recently. I truly believe this is one of the bests sets on the market regardless of price. Make sure you get the 650 series thought, you'll be disappointed if you don't.

Could not be more happy with my purchase
It is great to be able to read reviews of people that purchase and use different products. If it wasn't for Amazon and their review system, I would have had no idea what HDTV to purchase out of the thousands available.
Anyway...I received the TV yesterday and spent the day playing with the new toy. I am amazed by the quality of the picture, paired with DirectTV HD...it is AWESOME!
The delivery consisted of 1 guy in a van. There were no problems with having just 1 individual handle this TV. He brought it inside and I helped him unwrap it. He had be plug it in to inspect the screen and to make sure that I was 100% satisfied before I signed.
Overall I have had a terrific experience with this purchase. I am really glad I went with the 52" rather than the 46"!
You will have no regrets that you bought this TV!
